• Streaming: Using this tab, you can either select a channel (or a Web service) you’d like to unblock or pick a specific country. Ivacy brings OpenVPN, WireGuard, IKEv2/IPSec, and L2TP/IPSec. All those are capable protocols that help you secure your confidential data online. It's also interesting to note that Ivacy does things a bit differently, especially when we compare it to the bestselling and top-rated VPNs.

Ivacy used to offer protocols such as PPTP and SSTP, which are now considered obsolete. Even though you can still use those via manual configuration, Ivacy has decided to distance itself from PPTP and SSTP. Therefore, it no longer offers them built into its apps.

This VPN claims that personally identifiable data is never logged. More precisely, the following types of information are stored on Ivacy's servers: your name, email address, and your payment information. With that said, since this VPN doesn't store any data regarding your Web browsing, third parties will never get to learn what you do online.

This isn't a new VPN exactly, as it's been on the market for more than a decade now. Since there were never any situations that would prove otherwise, we believe in Ivacy's claims.

We also need to mention that many other VPNs employ third-party cybersecurity companies to audit their services (to prove their security- and privacy-related claims). Sadly, that doesn't apply to Ivacy, which is something we wish to see improved in the future.

Does Ivacy Leak/Expose Personal Data?

Just like we always do when reviewing VPNs, we've also put Ivacy to a series of tests. Our goal was to determine whether Ivacy leaks any of our confidential information. For the purpose of discovering that, we've tested this VPN for IP, DNS, and geo-location leaks.

As the screenshots supplied in this segment prove, Ivacy can create a leak-free tunnel. In other words, our IP address and DNS data never left Ivacy's tunnel, no matter how many servers we switched between.

In addition, our geo-location data always corresponded to what was selected in Ivacy's UI. This means no one could have determined our actual (physical) location, which was always hidden.

Speed & Performance

Ivacy VPN Speed Test

Before we set out to test Ivacy's performance, we first did a speed test of our 'naked' Web connection. The goal of this action was to provide us with baseline data, so we could calculate the speed loss induced by Ivacy VPN.

As you can see, we started out with 488.34 Mbps for downloads and 48.49 Mbps for uploads. Once again, those numbers indicate the speed of our Web connection without having Ivacy enabled, and we'll use them to calculate the speed loss introduced by the VPN.

Local Speed Tests

When it comes to local speed tests, we typically connect to VPN servers in the UK and Italy. We did the same while testing Ivacy, so here's how the VPN performed.

Once connected to a server in Italy, we managed to get 154.47 Mbps for downloads and 3.01 Mbps for uploads. Those aren't the best numbers, as local VPN connections should introduce only a slightly noticeable speed loss.

Then, a server in the United Kingdom managed to give us 121.75 Mbps for downloads and 45.28 Mbps for uploads. Even though our upload speeds weren't affected in a big way, the same can't be said for our download speed, which continued to deteriorate.

Long-Distance Speed Tests

Ivacy VPN has an impressive global network of over 5700+ servers in 100 countries. This is pretty good, given that the industry standard for server locations is around 30. Using a VPN with a large number of servers is an advantage as you’re less likely to face slower speeds due to congestion at peak traffic times.

At first, I found it unusual that I could only access 57 server locations on my Android device, as most VPNs offer the same number of servers across all platforms. However, the Ivacy VPN Android app only supports the OpenVPN protocol, which is only available in 57 locations. If you’re in need of a more robust server network on mobile, you could consider ExpressVPN, as it has a robust number of servers across all of its supported devices.

Range of Virtual Servers Increases Global Reach

I was impressed by the geographical distribution of the network, as there are servers available in Europe, North and South America, Asia Pacific, and Africa. Virtual servers account for about a quarter of the entire network of servers — these are marked with a “V” in the Ivacy VPN app.

A virtual VPN server is a server that is based outside of its advertised location. An example would be a VPN server with a German IP address but is physically located in France. Ivacy VPN has lots of useful VPN features, and you can top the basic service off with some paid bells and whistles. First on the list is the automatic kill switch, which shuts down your internet connection in the event your VPN connection drops to prevent leaking your real IP address. 

Ivacy automatically has four features not selected in the “general” tab of the app. These options include an automatic redial if your connection drops, the ability to launch the VPN when you start up your system, an auto-connect when you launch the app, and the ability to disconnect the VPN when you exit the app.

If you ever want to use your internet connection without the VPN on, you must select “disconnect VPN on app exit.”

The VPN also has split tunneling. This feature lets you choose which apps run through the VPN and which ones are left unprotected. This is useful, for example, if you want to protect your browsing traffic, but don’t want to deal with lags and high latency in an online game.

Ivacy VPN also offers malware protection in the form of its “secure download” feature. This feature scans downloaded files for the presence of malware.

Specialty Servers

Some of Ivacy VPN’s servers are dedicated to streaming and unblocking. The VPN claims these servers are better at unblocking streaming services, including Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Hulu and the like. 

However, we’d prefer to see that all servers are capable of unblocking streaming sites, rather than a select few. We’ll dig deep into these servers under “streaming performance.”

Furthermore, Ivacy VPN’s streaming servers let you access general websites in countries where those servers are available. Some of these servers are located in restrictive countries like China. 

It’s worth noting that Ivacy VPN optimizes entire server locations for streaming and unblocking. That means that there are no separate servers for specific tasks in one location. For instance, if the server in Miami is optimized for streaming, you won’t find any regular servers there. You’ll find the server listed both in the streaming server list and the full server list on the homepage. 

Multiple Logins 

Ivacy VPN allows you to use one subscription for 10 devices at the same time, which is a lot when you compare it to top providers like ExpressVPN and NordVPN that only provide five or six connections — though not as much as Surfshark’s unlimited simultaneous connections (read our Surfshark review).

You can even share your Ivacy VPN account with others and split the bill.

Paid Add-Ons

You can add extra functionality to your Ivacy VPN plan by choosing one of the VPN’s add-ons, although it will cost you extra. First is the dedicated IP address service, which gives you an exclusive IP address and is an excellent choice for online banking and bypassing blocklists. There’s also the port-forwarding feature, which allows you to access your device or servers from anywhere in the world. This feature can be used for various use cases, but most will find it redundant and it takes some technical know-how to get it up and running.

Ivacy VPN used to offer six-month and two-year plans, but it has since scrapped them. Now, it offers a monthly plan, a one-year plan and a unique five-year plan. All plans allow 10 simultaneous connections.

Ivacy VPN Cost

The monthly plan costs $9.95, which is cheap compared to the likes of ExpressVPN ($12.95) and NordVPN ($11.99). However, most VPNs provide better deals on longer plans, and that’s also the case with Ivacy VPN.

Ivacy VPN’s one-year plan is also budget-friendly. At $3.99 per month, the yearly plan works out to a total of $47.88. This is the same price that Surfshark, one of the cheapest VPNs on the market, offers for its one-year plan. 

Uniquely, Ivacy VPN offers a five-year plan costing $1.19 per month, which works out to $71.40 for all five years of use. Ivacy throws in its password manager for free to sweeten the deal, though we question whether it’s as capable as the best password managers out there. 

This five-year plan is best for people looking for a VPN for the long haul, though you might want to try the VPN out first with the $0.99 one-week trial (more on that soon).

If you want to purchase any add-ons, Ivacy VPN offers a dedicated IP address for $1.99 per month and a port-forwarding feature for $1 per month.

Ivacy VPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, which is the standard among VPNs. That said, some VPNs offer longer deals. For example, CyberGhost has a 45-day money-back guarantee on plans longer than one month (read our CyberGhost review). 

Alternatively, you can try out Ivacy VPN using the one-day free trial or use the seven-day risk-free trial, although it will cost you $0.99.

It’s good to see that Ivacy accepts payments through various platforms, including credit cards and PayPal. If you want to stay anonymous, you can pay using cryptocurrency through BitPay, just as you can with the best VPNs for crypto trading. 

Ease of Use

There is an Ivacy VPN app for major platforms, including Windows, Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, Kodi, Raspberry Pi, Xbox, PS4, Blackberry, Roku, smart TVs and routers. For this review, we tested Ivacy VPN on Windows and Android to see how easy it is to use.

Desktop App 

Ivacy VPN’s Windows client appears polished and streamlined and combines colors beautifully, making the VPN app easy on the eye. 

Like most of our beginner-friendly VPNs, the main interface has a large “power” button and a tab to choose servers. You can select your location from a list of countries or cities, or use the search bar to find the location you want without scrolling through the server list.

The left-hand side of the Ivacy app displays various options to customize your VPN use. First is the “secure download” feature, which scans files you download for viruses and malware. 

Next is the streaming section, which allows you to choose the best servers for your streaming needs. If you need to unblock general websites, you might be better off with the unblocking servers, which are right below the streaming tab. For all those sections, you can pin your favorite servers for quick access. 

There’s also an “accounts” button that contains details of your subscription and the devices you can install the VPN on. Underneath is the “settings” tab, where you can choose your startup preferences, switch between protocols, activate the multiport feature, enable split tunneling and activate the internet kill switch. 

Finally, there’s a “help” section where you can read the FAQ, submit a support ticket and give feedback to Ivacy. 

Mobile Apps 

Ivacy VPN’s mobile app is organized differently from the desktop app. On the interface, you’ll be greeted with three tabs, all of which are focused on helping you select servers: “purposes,” “smart connect” and “locations.” “Smart connect” is the default view and it contains a large power button and a shortcut to pick a VPN server.

Under “purposes,” you can select servers based on your reason for using the Ivacy VPN app, whether it’s for streaming, downloading or unblocking. Clicking on “locations” will reveal Ivacy VPN’s complete server list, categorized by countries and cities. 

On the left side, you’ll see a dropdown hamburger button. Clicking on it reveals a collection of the options under the “settings” menu in the desktop app: the internet kill switch, split tunneling, multiport and protocols. 

Under this button is an “about” section where you can read Ivacy VPN’s privacy policy. It also contains an “app feedback” button where you can send Ivacy VPN your feelings about the Ivacy app. 

Speed

All VPNs reduce your speed by some amount, but if your VPN reduces your connection speeds significantly, you might experience lags and buffering when using the internet, especially for activities like gaming and streaming. We checked to see how much impact Ivacy VPN has on download and upload speeds.

How We Ran Our Speed Tests

We tested Ivacy VPN’s download speeds, upload speeds and latency from Accra, Ghana. We started off by testing our speeds without a VPN. Those unprotected values served as a yardstick to help us estimate speed drops. Finally, we connected to Ivacy VPN servers in at least one country on each continent to get an overview of how Ivacy VPN performs around the world. 

It’s worth noting that your actual speeds may differ based on your internet connection and location. For instance, we expected better performance when connected to the Nigeria server location, since it’s closest to our testing location in Ghana. That said, the values below give you a bird’s-eye view of what to expect from Ivacy VPN. 

Speed Test Results

As we expected, our best speeds were from servers in Nigeria. The United States also gave us relatively good download speeds and it’s likely the VPN has focused its server resources there. 

However, the speeds in the U.K. were disappointing, with both the download speed and upload speed taking a considerable hit. It’s not surprising that the speeds in locations far away from our testing location, including Singapore and Australia, took big hits as well. What is surprising, though, is that the speeds were nearly wiped out. 

Another surprise (a pleasant one this time) is that Ivacy VPN handled latency very well. Even the most distant locations managed to achieve decent ping values, which means that Ivacy VPN could be a good choice for gamers.

Is Ivacy VPN Fast?

Overall, Ivacy VPN is hit-and-miss when it comes to speed. You might experience internet speed delays and buffering if you’re using the VPN in faraway locations. Needless to say, Ivacy VPN is a long way away from showing up on our best fast VPNs list. 

Security

80 % – Good

The most secure VPNs come with secure encryption ciphers and a selection of modern VPN protocols. On the VPN protocol front, Ivacy VPN is well-stocked. The VPN offers the OpenVPN protocol, which guarantees a stable and secure VPN connection with AES-256 encryption. 

Additionally, Ivacy VPN offers the WireGuard protocol, which promises faster speeds, thanks to its streamlined code base (at least in theory) plus the secure ChaCha20 encryption. Read more about that in our WireGuard protocol breakdown.  

Ivacy VPN also comes with IKEv2, a protocol that’s best for mobile devices because it’s good at reconnecting after a connection has been dropped. There’s also the L2TP protocol, which is much older and easily blocked by firewalls, so we don’t recommend using that. Learn more about all these protocols in our guide on VPN protocols. 

The protocol options a little different on Mac. In settings, under “connection,” you’ll also see that the available protocols are IPSec and IKEv2, which aren’t the most secure protocol options. The app does not offer OpenVPN or WireGuard, which means Ivacy is not a great Mac VPN option.

Finally, Ivacy VPN has no history of breaches, which other VPN providers — including IPVanish, NordVPN and others — can’t claim.

Privacy

80 % – Good

Ivacy VPN claims on its website to be a strict, no-logs VPN, and its privacy policy doubles down on that stance. The privacy policy is an easy read, coming in at just five well-organized pages, mostly devoid of complicated legal jargon. As a result, you can easily read through the policy in a few minutes.  

Right off the bat, Ivacy VPN makes it clear that it doesn’t log any information that can be traced back to its users. It states: “We strictly do not log or monitor online browsing activities, connection logs, VPN IPs assigned, original IP addresses, browsing history, outgoing traffic, connection times, data you have accessed and/or DNS queries generated by your end.” 

The only data the VPN does log relates to performance data, failed connection attempts, application usage and aggregated bandwidth usage, which shouldn’t be paired with any identifying data.

The VPN also requires your name and email address during the signup process, but it doesn’t share, sell or rent any of such data to third parties. 

However, it would be great to see Ivacy VPN add more privacy focused features like RAM-only servers and perfect forward secrecy, like ExpressVPN — the best VPN for privacy — does.

Who Owns Ivacy?

Ivacy VPN’s parent company is PGM Private Limited, based in Singapore. There’s barely any information online about PGM Private Limited.

We appreciate it when VPNs are straightforward with their owners, and Ivacy VPN does not advertise its parent company very much at all — we had to track it down at the bottom of the Ivacy website and confirm it via LinkedIn — after hearing from support that Ivacy doesn’t have a parent company.

However, no news is (most often) good news, and PGM Private Limited does not have a track record like other VPN owners — for example, Kape Technologies.

Streaming Performance

30 % – Terrible

Streaming is one of Ivacy’s biggest selling points. As you read under the “ease of use” section, the VPN has an entire section dedicated to streaming servers. Unfortunately, Ivacy’s overall streaming performance is hit-or-miss. 

For starters, we struggled to get Ivacy VPN to unblock Netflix, though it did work eventually. This is disappointing, considering that the VPN states expressly on its website that it can easily unblock Netflix. 

In addition, some of the servers labeled “Netflix” couldn’t get past the streaming service’s geoblocks. We had to change servers several times to access American Netflix.

Aside from Netflix, we could not unblock BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime Video, despite using Ivacy VPN’s dedicated servers for those services. As a result, we recommend choosing from our best VPN for Amazon Prime Video and the best VPN for BBC iPlayer guides. Thankfully, Ivacy was able to unblock Hulu easily on multiple servers.

Ivacy VPN Not Working With Netflix: What Can I Do?

First, change your Ivacy VPN server. If you’re using a normal server, connect to a dedicated streaming server instead. Next, clear your Netflix cache and restart the app. Rinse and repeat these steps until you get into Netflix.

Server Locations

Ivacy VPN has over 5,700 servers in 87 locations across 69 countries. This figure is nowhere close to HMA’s fleet of servers in over 290 locations (see our HMA review), but it’s respectable nonetheless. 

As you can see from the table, most of Ivacy VPN’s servers are in North America and Europe. The VPN has several servers dotted across many cities in the U.S., including Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Houston.

The VPN has servers in 36 out of the 44 European countries, which is a great spread. It’s worth noting that Ivacy VPN has servers in typically underserved locations like Africa, South America and the Middle East.

Customer Support

Ivacy VPN boasts an informative and well-organized knowledgebase. You’ll find step-by-step tutorials and setup guides to help you set up the VPN on all your devices. We noticed that the entries are detailed and simple enough for beginners. There’s also a helpful FAQ section and a YouTube channel full of video tutorials. 

You can contact Ivacy VPN’s customer support through email using the ticket system. However, there’s no user forum or phone support. If you want real-time support, use the live chat feature.

Live Chat Feature 

We’re glad to see that Ivacy has a live chat, but its support agents aren’t always helpful. Ivacy is quick to connect you to an agent at least, and the agents always respond quickly. 

We prodded the agents with several technical questions, and although they helped us with some of them, we couldn’t get a straight answer to a few simple questions. We also got conflicting information about whether Ivacy VPN is owned by PMG Private Limited.

The Verdict

Overall, Ivacy VPN is an easy-to-use VPN provider with a basic but solid feature set. What’s more, it has excellent security and privacy features that make it a decent choice for browsing the internet safely. 

However, the VPN posts sub-par upload and download speeds, meaning it might not be perfect for data-intensive activities like video calls, streaming or torrenting. In addition, the VPN is woefully inept at unblocking streaming sites, and struggled to get into Netflix. 

Clearly, Ivacy VPN has a long way to go before being mentioned in the same conversation with the best VPN services. That said, it might be a useful choice if you want a VPN for casual browsing.

I spent a few weeks testing Ivacy VPN to see how it compares to other top VPNs. I can safely ivacy vpn servers it’s a good VPN — it’s secure, ivacy vpn servers, fast, and easy to use.

Ivacy VPN includes industry-standard security features, plus extras like split-tunneling, full leak protection, ivacy vpn servers, and Secure Download (which removes malware from the files you download). I had fast speeds on local and distant servers, and I found Ivacy VPN’s apps really intuitive.

That said, there are better VPNs on the market — ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access, and ProtonVPN all have better features, better speeds, and are overall a better value.

Ivacy VPN Features

Ivacy VPN has these industry-standard VPN security features:

• 256-bit AES encryption — secures your traffic with bank-grade encryption.
• No-logs policy — doesn’t log your IP address or your online traffic.
• Kill switch — prevents leaks by disabling your internet access if the VPN disconnects. This is only available on Android and Windows (most VPNs don’t have kill switches on iOS and macOS).

Ivacy VPN has OpenVPN, IKEv2/IPSec, and L2TP/IPSec.

All these protocols provide good security and decent speeds, but I wish Ivacy VPN had WireGuard (which competitors like Private Internet Access offers), as it’s a much faster option.

I like that all of Ivacy VPN’s apps protect you against leaks. Some top VPNs (like VyprVPN) make you manually disable IPv6 and WebRTC to avoid leaks, which is inconvenient.

Ivacy VPN offers extra features, such as:

• Split-tunneling. This lets you choose which apps use the VPN tunnel and which use your ISP’s network. Split-tunneling is available on Android and Windows and it works well, but it’s not ivacy vpn servers easy to use on Android as it is with other top VPNs like ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access.

• Secure Download. This feature checks the files you download for malware and removes malicious content. It’s available in 9 countries, and it’s really useful. I tested it using a third-party anti-malware testing tool, ivacy vpn servers, and it successfully stopped malicious files from downloading.
• Multiport. This feature scans open ports and automatically selects the one that offers the best connectivity. It also claims to bypass port blocking in restrictive countries. Multiport is only available on Android and Windows.

Ivacy VPN has a straightforward no-logs policy — it doesn’t log your IP address, the sites you visit, or the files you download. It only logs your email address (for signup and communication purposes), and payment data. However, unlike ExpressVPN, ProtonVPN, ivacy vpn servers, and Ivacy vpn servers VPN has not conducted an independent audit of its no-logs policy.

Ivacy VPN has its headquarters in Singapore. This is good news because Singapore isn’t part of the 5/9/14 Eyes Alliances (a group of countries that share surveillance data).

I ran speed tests on servers in all the countries in Ivacy VPN’s server network. The speeds were fastest while connected to a local server in Romania, but they were also good when I connected to distant servers in the US.

First, I ran a speed test without connecting to the VPN to get a baseline on my connection speeds:

Overall, I was happy with Ivacy VPN’s speeds — I didn’t experience slowdowns on local servers and maintained fast speeds while connected to distant servers.

When I was connected to a local server, I experienced an 84% slowdown, but websites and HD videos loaded instantly. When I was connected to distant servers, Ivacy vpn servers saw ivacy vpn servers 82% slowdown on average, but the speeds weren’t faster. Websites loaded in 5-10 seconds and HD videos took 5 seconds to load, but they didn’t buffer when I skipped through them.

Ivacy VPN Servers & IP Addresses

Ivacy VPN ivacy vpn servers 3,500+ servers across 100+ locations in 45+ countries. Other top VPNs cover more countries: ExpressVPN and CyberGhost VPN both have servers in 90+ countries. However, Ivacy VPN’s server network is large enough for most users to find a nearby server and get fast speeds.

Ivacy VPN has streaming ivacy vpn servers for 50 sites including Netflix US, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer, Hulu, HBO Max, and NBC, ivacy vpn servers, but the HBO Max and Amazon Prime servers didn’t work for me.

For a small cost, ivacy vpn servers, Ivacy VPN offers dedicated IP addresses (IP addresses that are only assigned to you). Ivacy VPN Streaming & Torrenting

Ivacy VPN works with Netflix US, Hulu, and BBC iPlayer, as well as with other streaming ivacy vpn servers like VRV and Sony Crackle.  However, Ivacy VPN isn’t a good choice for Amazon Prime or Disney+ — if you’re looking for a VPN with excellent streaming capabilities, my recommendation is ExpressVPN.

Ivacy VPN is good for torrenting — it only allows P2P traffic on servers in 20 countries, but the speeds are fast. That said, Ivacy VPN’s apps don’t indicate which servers support torrenting, which is annoying. To find the list of servers, you have to check a support article that isn’t 100% accurate. It doesn’t list the Secure Download servers, which allow torrenting.

During my tests, I downloaded a 43 GB file in 80 minutes on a distant server. Also, Ivacy VPN works with the most popular torrenting clients like qBittorrent, uTorrent, and Vuze.

Port ivacy vpn servers, which connects you to more peers and provides faster speeds, is available, but it costs extra, ivacy vpn servers. Most top VPNs like Private Internet Access provide port forwarding for free.

Before I downloaded any torrents, I ran more than 10 leak tests to make sure Ivacy VPN was safe, ivacy vpn servers. I never experienced any leaks.

Overall, Ivacy VPN is good for streaming and torrenting. It can’t access Amazon Prime or Disney+, but it works with Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, and smaller sites. Ivacy VPN only allows torrenting on servers in 20 countries, but it works with the most popular Ivacy vpn servers apps and has fast speeds. That said, ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access are my favorite torrenting VPNs because they allow P2P traffic on all servers.

Ivacy VPN has several plans, which start at $1.99 / month and all include the same features. 

The prices of Ivacy VPN’s plans are comparable to CyberGhost VPN, Private Internet Access, and TunnelBear — but these vendors offer a better value in my opinion. There’s a super cheap 5-year plan, but that’s a long commitment to make.

Ivacy VPN supports 10 simultaneous connections, which is above the industry standard of 5-7 connections, and is useful if you have a big household.

When I signed up with Ivacy VPN, I got 2 TB of free encrypted ivacy vpn servers storage – a ivacy vpn servers deal if you need a VPN and secure storage. The pricing page says only the 2-year plan has this deal, but it’s actually available on all plans.

Ivacy VPN accepts 6 types of credit cards, PayPal, cryptocurrencies, PerfectMoney, and other methods like Neosurf, Mobiamo, and Dotpay. Ivacy VPN Ease of Use: Mobile & Desktop Apps

Ivacy VPN has apps for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Fire Stick, and Android TV. It also has browser extensions for Edge, Firefox, and Chrome, and it can be manually configured on Kodi and gaming consoles.

It only took a few minutes to install the Android app on my phone and the Windows app on my PC, ivacy vpn servers. Both apps were easy to navigate, with 1-click connections. It was also simple to manually select a server, and there were brief explanations of most settings.

The apps worked very well, though I had an issue with the Windows app when I first logged in. It kept saying my subscription had expired, so I couldn’t use the app. But a support rep helped me fix the problem quickly — I just had to log out and log back in.

Overall, Ivacy VPN’s apps are very user-friendly. Its mobile apps look different from its desktop apps, but switching between them is simple thanks to the intuitive design.

How We Ran Our Speed Tests

We tested Ivacy VPN’s download speeds, upload speeds and latency from Accra, Ivacy vpn servers. We started off by testing our speeds without a VPN. Those unprotected values served as a yardstick to help us estimate speed drops. Finally, we connected to Ivacy VPN servers in at least one country on each continent to get an overview of how Ivacy VPN performs around the world. 

It’s worth noting that your actual speeds may differ based on your internet connection and location. For instance, we expected better performance when connected to the Nigeria server location, since it’s closest to our testing location in Ghana. That said, the values below give you a bird’s-eye view of what to expect from Ivacy VPN. 

Speed Test Results

The most secure VPNs come with secure encryption ciphers and a selection of modern VPN protocols. On the VPN protocol front, Ivacy VPN is well-stocked. The VPN offers the OpenVPN protocol, which guarantees a stable and secure VPN connection with AES-256 encryption.

Ivacy VPN also comes with IKEv2, a protocol that’s best for mobile devices because it’s good at reconnecting after a connection has been dropped. There’s also the L2TP protocol, which is much older and easily blocked by firewalls, ivacy vpn servers, so we don’t recommend using that.
